However just like the incline chest press there are some cons. It offers huge potential for increasing strength and most people can progress rapidly to heavier weights. A flat bench is basically a padded board supported by a sturdy steel frame.
This exercise is done lying down on a flat bench and pressing a barbell up and down. The bench press builds the muscles of the chest as well as the triceps of the back of the arms and the front deltoid shoulder muscles.
